The Romanian artist Constandin Butoi was born in 1955 in a small village (Dragotesti) in southern Romania. He studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Cluj and graduated in 1979.

Since 1990, Constandin Butoi is full member of Romanian Artists Union.

The paintings of Constandin Butoi can be found in private collections across Romania, France, USA, Sweden, Japan, England, Germany etc. Also, works of Constandin Butoi have been acquired by Romanian cultural institutions, Ministry of Culture and Foreign Ministry.

In 1990 Constandin Butoi has been awarded with the "Youth Award" from the Culture Ministry of Romania.
